Friendship

Always present in memory and thought

A friendship everlasting and often sought

Memories of hardship and tribulation

But more of togetherness and jubilation

Simple gatherings and warmth exuding

Loathing and selfishness precluding

In tribulation, a shoulder to cry on

A close friend to beckon and call upon

Ever present to comfort and support

All praises and Glory be to the Lord

For bringing you close to me

All thanks be unto thee

An angel by my side

In darkness, shines thy light

My confidant and close friend

Your love is with me till the end

Accepting my faults and limitations

Without hindrance or hesitations

Do know this for sure

Whatever you may endure

I will always be with thee

Just as you are and always will be
